The Los Angeles Lakers are looking good as they record their three straight victory to go 5-2 this season. Austin Reaves took up the scoring load when Luka Doncic had to sit out a few games and now that the latter is back, things are so much better. It might be the chemistry between these two on and off the court.

Doncic and Reaves have been exchanging banters in press conferences in the past games, something head coach JJ Redick said it is part of the growing chemistry between the two, something they started building over the summer.

“I think it’s in a really healthy place. I think what they realized early in the preseason, I don’t know if it was the first road trip or the second one that we went on, but they both realized that they both enjoy talking trash a lot,” Redick told reporters before their game and win over the Miami Heat.

“And their personalities in that regard are very similar, so they can sort of create a little bit of chemistry with each other just by being their natural selves.”

Reaves scored 26 points against the Heat while Doncic had 29. They also combined for 21 assists in the win. NBA fans now think the Lakers have the coolest white boys in the league because of these two along with summer acquisition Jake Laravia.

    Luka Doncic, Austin Reaves banters

The two have been verbally assaulting each other this season. Doncic once called Reaves stupid for suggesting that he can average 40 points this season. The former Mavs star is currently averaging 41.3 points per game.

In another footage, Reaves was sarcastically showing that he was not impressed with Doncic’s 49 point game against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
