Luka Doncic, when he got traded to the Los Angeles Lakers from the Dallas Mavericks, seemed to have found himself not only a new team but also a new critic, as analyst and critic Skip Bayless gave his honest take on why he thinks the new Lakers star is a “crybaby.”

In one of his recent videos, Skip Bayless criticized Luka Doncic for having a hard time against Boston Celtics shooting guard Jaylen Brown, citing how Brown also gave Doncic a hard time last season.

“Nobody in the National Basketball Association gives Luka Doncic more trouble than Jaylen Brown does,” Skip said. “You saw it in the finals last year. Nobody torments Luka, bullies Luka, or makes him more hapless and overmatched, than Jaylen Brown.”

The criticism focused on Luka Doncic was a fresh perspective from Skip Bayless, as he is known to be a heavy LeBron James critic throughout these years.

“Luka’s flopping all over the floor,” Skip added. “Luka’s complaining after every ball that is stolen from him. And he flat-out got bullied because the referees let Boston play. The referees weren’t buying any of Luka’s baloney.”

“Luka is still such a crybaby.”

Luka Doncic Grabs 34 Points as Lakers Lose to Celtics

The Boston Celtics defeated the Los Angeles Lakers 111-101 in a thrilling road game for the Lakers. Jayson Tatum led the Celtics with 40 points, 12 rebounds, and eight assists, while Jaylen Brown added 31 points. The Lakers, despite a strong performance from Luka Doncic, who scored 34 points and grabbed eight rebounds, couldn’t overcome the Celtics’ defense.

LeBron James contributed 22 points, 14 rebounds, and nine assists before leaving the game with a strained groin.

Brown’s ability to limit Doncic’s scoring opportunities played a significant role in the Celtics’ victory. Despite Doncic’s impressive performance, the Celtics’ defensive strategy proved effective.

Doncic, post-game, expressed his concern over the groin injury LeBron James sustained that made him not finish the game.

“Obviously, to get injured at this time, those [groin] injuries are—I don’t want to say the worst, but they are tough to deal with,” Doncic said. “So just take his time. And we got to have as a team a next-man-up mentality.”

During his time with the Los Angeles Lakers, Luka Doncic has played 11 games, averaging 24.7 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 7.6 assists per game. His shooting percentages include a field goal percentage of 41.1% and a three-point shooting percentage of 32.4%.
