Christmas came early for the Los Angeles Lakers. On Tuesday, coach JJ Redick revealed that star guard Luka Doncic gifted his teammates and the Lakers staff luxury e-bikes for the holidays. It’s a gesture that was well received, further solidifying their bond as a team.
The holiday is just around the corner, and Doncic took the time to spread the holiday vibes. The team had its practice following a hard-fought battle against the Phoenix Suns on Sunday. The Slovenian sensation had 29 points, three rebounds and six assists to help the Lakers with a 116-114 win.
After the battle, they were rewarded by Doncic to keep the positive mood alive. Redick was appreciative of the gesture from the five-time All-Star and is excited to use it soon.

“Yep. He got everybody in basketball ops, I think it was 103 total gifts. A very, very high-end E-bike so I’ll be excited to drive that down to the beach. Looking forward to it. Very nice gesture from him. The guys all really, really enjoyed it,” Redick said.

Redick was asked about the immediate action from Luka Doncic when it comes to giving back to the community. The coach told the media that “it’s who he is.” When it comes to taking action, the star maximizes his platform to help and elevate others.
Before the season started, Doncic treated his teammates to a Porsche Driving experience.
LeBron James addressed taking the technical free throws over Luka Doncic

The fourth quarter of the Los Angeles Lakers’ game against the Phoenix Suns was eventful. Dillon Brooks grumbled about not earning a foul on his 3-point attempt late in the game, so LeBron James called him for a technical penalty.
This gave the Lakers the perfect chance to tie the game, as the Suns had a 114-113 lead. It was James who took the free throw, which surprised JJ Redick and Luka Doncic. According to the coach, the shot should’ve been for the European star.
James missed the shot but made up for it when he made two out of his three free throws later in the game.
“S**t. I just walked to the free throw line. Why wouldn’t I? I mean, I’d be ok with Luka taking it, too. We’ve both been in pressure situations. But I just took it. Unfortunately, I missed it. But I made up for it,” the four-time champion said.
At the end of the day, what mattered more for the Lakers was getting the win over their division rival.
