Los Angeles Lakers star Luka Doncic had an amazing gesture for his teammates ahead of his full regular season with the team. The Lakers are looking forward to the full Doncic experience for the first time. When the Slovenian star was dealt to the squad by the Dallas Mavericks last season, the team was ridiculed. But this time, it’s about to be different.
During the offseason, Doncic worked on his physical conditioning to show his commitment to winning with the team. The five-time All-Star also made it to the new cover of Men’s Health magazine to show off his new body. Additionally, he disclosed that he no longer felt tired during the 2025 FIBA EuroBasket.
With his recent gesture toward his teammates, the star guard reaffirmed his dedication to the Lakers. According to ESPN’s Dave McMenamin, Doncic treated his teammates to a driving experience Porsche Driving Experience in Los Angeles for an organized team event.
McMenamin reported that each of his teammates got a chance to drive at least “three different Porsche cars and drive them on the tracks at the facility.”

“Today after practice, he is taking all of his team, on his own dime, to the Porsche driving experience in southern California,” McMenamin said.
“They’re going to be going around the lap in 911’s and GT3’s. It’s going to be the type of thing where you get your mind away from the basketball court.

“You get to see each other in a different environment, have some fun doing it, and build some memories that you hope can take you through the lean times that are going to occur during an 82 game regular season.”
Luka Doncic is starting to develop a deep level of chemistry with his teammates this season.
Luka Doncic is under load management in practice

The Lakers are getting ready for the start of the 2025-26 season. One of their approaches for the new campaign is to make sure their stars are healthy. LeBron James is expected to miss the entire preseason in preparation for their Opening Night against the Golden State Warriors on Oct. 21.
Luka Doncic, on the other hand, is under load management, according to head coach JJ Redick.
“Luka will play in preseason, we will use next week to continue to get him in a good spot with his body and energy and all that stuff…I think it made sense, given his workload this summer, to just kind of pull back. He’s in a great place physically and mentally,” Redick said.
The main concern for the Lakers is Doncic being 100% healthy ahead of the team’s first game of the new campaign.
