Luka Doncic produced his usual numbers in the last three games but many thought they were not as impactful as they can be. The Los Angeles Lakers star averaged 31.7 points in that span. His highest scoring mark was 35 points in loss to the San Antonio Spurs.

Critics think they were empty stats. Doncic feels that way, too.
“I don’t think so. I think I have to play better,” he told ESPN’s Dave McMenamin when asked if he is in top form already.
“I feel like I can play better a lot of nights. I don’t know if this is the best basketball I’ve played just because of points, but I feel like I can do way more stuff.”
Doncic currently leads the league in scoring at 34.7 points per game. His Lakers are third in the Western Conference with an 18-7 record.

He missed two games before those last three games to attend to his wife who gave birth to their daughter.
Luka Doncic says he met with JJ Redick
Defense is one area where Doncic is heavily criticized throughout his career. That criticism resurfaced last week but before anything bites them back, the Slovenian star submitted himself to the system and revealed that he and coach JJ Redick talked about it.
It was not just him who got called out for the effort on defense. Even their other superstar Lebron James.

“He was right,” he told reporters present during Wednesday’s practice. “You got to get a little bit more, especially from the star players. That’s on us. That’s on me.”
“We talked about a lot, not just that, but he was right,” he continued. “And we just got to give more, especially at the start of the game. We got to start the game better.”
