Magic Johnson, a legendary basketball player, recently tweeted his opinion about Luka Doncic being freshly traded to the Los Angeles Lakers team from the Dallas Mavericks. According to his tweet on his X account, Johnson expressed his worry with how head coach, JJ Redick, may share the usage rate between LeBron James as well as the newly added Luka Doncic.
The Los Angeles Lakers are currently ranked fifth in the Western Conference after winning 28 games and losing 19 so far. LeBron James is known for needing the ball in his hands in order to perform on the hardwood floor. With Doncic joining the team, James’ time with the ball might be significantly reduced since the Serbian player also needs the ball in his hands.
“Usage rate may be a problem for the Lakers because LeBron, Luka, and Austin all love to have the ball in their hands. How will Coach JJ Reddick design an offense that keeps all 3 of them happy?” Magic Johnson tweeted on his X account.

While Magic Johnson’s words clearly hold a lot of truth for the Los Angeles Lakers, the team might also need to look into pulling up their defense, especially since Anthony Davis has been traded off to the Dallas Mavericks.

In their most recent game, the Los Angeles Lakers played against the New York Knicks and won the game with a final score of 128-112. In that game, LeBron James led the team’s offense with 33 points, grabbing 11 rebounds and assisting 12 times, while Austin Reaves added another 27 points to the total with five boards and six helpers.
Magic Johnson Named In List As Important Influences For Ben Simmons
Meanwhile, Magic Johnson has been named as an important influence by Ben Simmons, along with LeBron James and Dwyane Wade. In a recent interview with Brandon Robinson, NBA insider, Simmons remarked that the three players have had an incredible influence on the Brooklyn Nets player, especially when he was growing up.

Ben Simmons is one of the best-performing players for the Brooklyn Nets currently, and with him being one of the stalwarts in the offense, the team are ranked 13th in the Eastern Conference with 16 wins and 33 defeats.

In the ongoing NBA season, Simmons is averaging 6.3 points in each game, with 5.2 rebounds and seven helpers per matchup. In their most recent matchup, the Brooklyn Nets played against the Houston Rockets and won the game 110-8, and Simmons managed to score twice with five boards and four helpers.
