Marina Mabrey, Connecticut Sun guard, recently dropped a comment for her baby-sister Dara Mabrey’s latest pics on Instagram. Dara Mabrey, who last played for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish as a guard until the previous season, sizzled on Instagram with a black leather jacket and a black crop top underneath. Mabrey accessorized her outfit with a pair of simple chains, along with gold hoop earrings.

Unlike Marina Mabrey who is continuing her basketball career with the WNBA, Dara Mabrey seems to have taken a break from the sport as of now. Meanwhile, Marina Mabrey will be playing for the Connecticut Sun in this upcoming WNBA season after being traded to the team from the Chicago Sky.

“Power trip continued.” Dara Mabrey captioned her Instagram post.

“Cute derl,” Marina Mabrey commented on her sister, Dara Mabrey’s pics on Instagram.

Marina Mabrey joined the WNBA after being selected by the Los Angeles Sparks as the 19th overall pick in the second round of the 2019 Draft. After spending one season with the Sparks, Mabrey moved to the Dallas Wings in 2020. In 2023, Mabrey played for the Chicago Sky, and will be featured as part of the Connecticut Sun squad in the upcoming WNBA season in May.

Before entering the WNBA, Marina Mabrey played for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish for her college basketball career. Mabrey stayed with Notre Dame from 2015 to 2019 before applying for the WNBA draft.

Marina Mabrey’s College Team Heads To Sweet 16 To Take On TCU

Marina Mabrey’s college basketball team, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, is scheduled to meet the TCU Horned Frogs for the Sweet 16 round this weekend. Notre Dame finished at the top of the Atlantic Coast table with a 16-2 conference score and 28-5 overall on the season, with the North Carolina Tar Heels one position lower with a 28-6 overall score.

For the NCAA second round, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish played against the Michigan Wolverines and won with an impressive 76-55 final score. In that game, Hannah Hidalgo led Notre Dame on the scoreboard, along with a solo rebound and three assists, while Liatu King chalked up 18 more points for the team with a whopping 15 boards, the highest for the team in this category.
