Dallas Mavericks minority owner and entrepreneur Mark Cuban recently blasted the officiating for the NBA Finals Game 7, where he thinks a particular referee gave someone from the Oklahoma City Thunder a free pass to what should have been a foul.
Over at X, Mark Cuban gave his honest thoughts on the officiating for the NBA Finals Game 7. In particular, he quoted one video that showed T.J. McConnell of the Indiana Pacers being guarded by Cason Wallace of the Oklahoma City Thunder.
The video showed Walalce seemingly grabbing the arm of McConnel, with referee Sean Wright in front of the two, but Wright did not make any call. For Cuban, this was supposed to be an obvious foul that Wright let pass in front of him.
“Hey @NBAOfficial, think arm grabbing impacts SBRQ? Think it gives the defender an advantage?” he said in his post.
“What in the world is Sean thinking?”

Sean Wright is a veteran NBA referee with nearly two decades of experience officiating at the highest level. Born on August 29, 1971, in New York City, he’s been a full-time NBA official since the mid-2000s and has worked over 1,000 regular-season games and 87 playoff contests, including multiple NBA Finals appearances.
Mark Cuban Revealed Why He Was Appointed by Former Presidential Candidate Kamala Harris
Mark Cuban could have been a vice presidential candidate, and had the Democratic Party won in 2024, he could have been the Vice President to Kamala Harris, being President.

In a recent interview, Cuban revealed how Kamala Harris, who then ran for president, once approached him and offered him to be the vice presidential candidate. He revealed that he turned down the offer, as he was not a good “player number 2.”
“I’m not very good as the No. 2 person. And so, the last thing we need is me telling Kamala, you know, the president, that, ‘No, that’s a dumb idea,’ right? And I’m not real good at the shaking hands and kissing babies,” he told “The Bulwark” host Tim Miller.

Cuban also reiterated that he is completely different from Tim Walz, both in personality in experience. He also added that he is a businessman, and not a politician.
“And so it would have been different, but it would have been awful,” Cuban joked. “She would have fired me within six days.”
Mark Cuban has always identified as an independent voter, though he, at point, stated that he would “prefer to be a Republican.”
