The Maryland Terrapins defeated the Penn State Nittany Lions 68-64 in a thriller on the pull-up mid-range jumper by Terrapins shooting guard Rodney Rice. It was their first win at Penn State in a decade.
Maryland is in as good a position as anyone in the Big Ten to make a Final Four run. Terrapins point guard Ja’Kobi Gillespie provides great guard play.

Derik Queen’s Performance With Maryland Terrapins Against Penn State
Terps center Derik Queen led the way with 23 points. He records his tenth 20-point game of the season, tying Melo Trimble’s program record for most 20-point games by a freshman.
Queen has good footwork and could score around the basket. Today, he was dominant on the defensive end, constantly disrupting Penn State’s offensive flow.

What Derik Did in The Game and His Ceiling
Queen had a dominant performance against Rutgers, playing a crucial role in Maryland’s victory. He showcased his versatility by impacting both ends of the floor, scoring efficiently, controlling the boards, and facilitating plays for his teammates.
Queen’s skill level is ridiculous and is an insanely talented basketball player. There are some obvious concerns about his fit at the NBA level, but I think he is a lock to be somewhere between three through eight for me by the end of the year.
