Las Vegas Aces player Megan Gustafson recently made a heartfelt send-off message to her fiancé, David DiLeo, who recently went overseas for work-related reasons.
In a post on Instagram, David DiLeo marked his flight off to France with a photo dump post, which highlighted moments with his friends, family, and his fiancée, Megan Gustafon.
In her IG story, Gustafon reported their couple photo, and added a caption that showed her feelings for him.

Megan Gustafson was drafted 17th overall by the Dallas Wings in 2019, and to say her WNBA career didn’t start off smooth would be an understatement—waived before opening day, re-signed midseason, and rarely played in her first two seasons.
In 2021, she was briefly with the Washington Mystics. While there, she was again searching for a good role and minutes in a crowded frontcourt rotation and quickly fell to the margins.

Megan Gustafson found her footing with the Phoenix Mercury, where she got more regular playing time from 2022-2023, and she had her best season in 2023: averaging 7.9 points and 3.9 rebounds in 15.1 minutes per game on 52.6% shooting (34.9% from three).
Gustafson signed with the Las Vegas Aces for 2024, stepping into a floor-spacing reserve position on a contender and averaging 3.7 points in 10.7 minutes per game, shooting 50.0% from the field and 38.6% from three. Before the early stages of 2025, she maintained that niche (3.5 points in 13.9 minutes), adding shooting, screening, and unit steadying.
How Long Has Megan Gustafon Been Engaged?
Megan Gustafson, once a star for Iowa and now a member of the Las Vegas Aces, announced she was engaged to fellow pro basketball player David Dileo on July 19, 2025. She made the announcement with an emotional post on social media during the WNBA All-Star weekend.
This milestone event closed out a year in which Gustafson took a brief leave of absence from the game with an injury. She later came back for a midseason return to start the season off healthy.

DiLeo, who signed with the French LNB Pro A club in 2024, averaged 10.1 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 1.4 assists and played a role in the team’s 2025 French League Cup triumph—marking his first multi-year stint with the same professional team.
Megan Gustafson, meanwhile, has worked back into the Aces’ rotation after missing the season’s first 19 games with a lower left leg injury, contributing in limited minutes since her July return.
