Megan Thee Stallion’s relationship with Dallas Mavericks guard Klay Thompson just earned a big stamp of approval from someone who matters most — Klay’s dad, Mychal Thompson. The rapper spent Thanksgiving with the Thompson family this year and even handled the turkey, and according to the former Lakers big man, she absolutely delivered.
Mychal joined ESPN LA on Wednesday, where the hosts were caught off guard after learning Megan was the one running the kitchen. Naturally, they wanted a review of her holiday cooking.

“All black women are good cooks,” Thompson said. “Have you ever gone to a black person’s house and not have good food?”

Judging by that answer, Megan fit right in with the family and had the Thompsons eating good on Thanksgiving.
Speculation around her and Klay started back in July, when Megan posted a photo online with Klay seen casually in the background. A few days later, Klay shared a photo of the two holding hands, which only added fuel. By the time they walked the red carpet together at the Pete & Thomas Foundation Gala, the relationship was official. Megan later admitted the Mavs star makes her “genuinely happy.”
Since then, the two haven’t been shy about showing each other love, and Megan has popped up courtside more than once — including during Dallas’ season opener against the Spurs.
“It is the best thing I’ve ever tasted”: Klay Thompson’s reaction to Megan Thee Stallion granting his request for a dish
While the Thanksgiving turkey took center stage, Klay already had a favorite dish from his girlfriend long before the holiday. Back in August, Megan gave fans a look at one of Klay’s kitchen requests on Instagram.
She said she’s cooked plenty for him, but there’s one combo he keeps asking for.

“So Klay had never had spaghetti and catfish together before, and ever since the first time I made it for him, he asks me for this s**t like every week,” Megan said.
The post included Klay giving his honest review — and it was glowing.
“So good. Flawless,” Thompson said. “It is the best thing I’ve ever tasted. My favorite meal. Catfish, spaghetti, and Hawaiian rolls.”
Looks like Megan’s cooking is winning over the whole Thompson crew.
