Ja Morant doubled down on his stance to stay with the Memphis Grizzlies, as the two-time NBA All-Star said he doesn’t want to hear about the trade rumors involving him anymore.
“I’m sorry y’all that wasn’t able to come to London, but I’m done with those questions,” Morant told Jonah Dylan of the Memphis Commercial Appeal.
The Memphis Grizzlies star picked up where he left off, notching 23 points, 12 assists, and three blocks on 7-for-15 shooting from the field in their narrow 124-122 home defeat against the Atlanta Hawks. As for his lowlights, he had five turnovers and also received a technical foul for his first-half scuffle with Mouhamed Gueye.
“Nah, I just felt like I was kind of in a mini little headlock. And guys just be talking sometimes. I ain’t mind. Like, I still have to see him every time. If it was something that serious, he would’ve did something again at the jump ball, probably would’ve come in the locker room or something. I don’t be worried about it,” he said on his skirmish with Gueye.

Memphis Grizzlies News: Ja Morant opens up on his missed game-winner vs. Atlanta Hawks
The Memphis Grizzlies had the chance to win or send the game to overtime after a late defensive stop. After Jaylen Wells secured the defensive rebound, he gave the ball to Ja Morant, who decided not to call a timeout before missing the pull-up three-point shot in transition.
“Time and score, feel of the game… We were hoping they would shoot a little bit ahead of the late shot clock, and I mean me in the open floor is kind of where I excel. That’s just tough. But other than that, it’s just feel of the game. It’s what we wanted, it didn’t turn out how we wanted. We can’t be mad at ourselves for that,” Morant explained.
“There was a lot more stuff we could’ve done as a team and me individually that could’ve won this game, and we wouldn’t have even been in that position,” he added.
