Memphis Grizzlies guard Ja Morant broke his silence about his injury status ahead of the 2024-25 season, and he only needed three words to get his point across via his X (formerly known as Twitter) account, as reported by Memphis Commercial Appeal’s Damichael Cole.
“It’s GO time,” Morant posted on Monday.

Based on his tweet, Ja Morant seems fully cleared for all basketball activities, which is exciting news for Memphis Grizzlies supporters. The team desperately needs him back in the lineup to bounce back from their woeful 2023-24 campaign, where they finished with a 27-55 record, good for 13th in the Western Conference.
Ja Morant was limited to nine games last season after he served his 25-game suspension for his off-court conduct and a season-ending shoulder injury following his return. He finished the year with averages of 25.1 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 8.1 assists per game on 47.1 percent shooting from the field.

Morant was not the only Memphis Grizzlies player hampered by injuries, as Desmond Bane, Marcus Smart, Brandon Clarke, and Luke Kennard all missed at least 40 games. Their injury situation got so bad that, at one point, 13 players were on the injury report during an April match against the Los Angeles Lakers.
Memphis Grizzlies’ outlook for 2024-25
Because they had one of the worst records in the league, the Memphis Grizzlies earned the No. 9 overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, which was used to get Zach Edey of the Purdue Boilermakers.

Zach Edey has been getting rave reviews from the Memphis Grizzlies (including Ja Morant) because of how well he has been playing lately in the Summer League.
Assuming everyone is back at 100 percent, the Memphis Grizzlies are expected to make at least the play-in tournament next season.
