Erik Spoelstra recently discussed Terry Rozier’s arrest by the FBI in relation to a gambling probe, and the Miami Heat head coach credited his players for keeping their composure together amid the dire situation.

“You’re left with no other choice,” Spoelstra told Ira Winderman of The Sun Sentinel. “The league doesn’t wait. It doesn’t stop for you. We had a meeting yesterday to address things and then today, it was the task at hand. And if you’ve been around long enough in this league, you have to learn how to compartmentalize and to focus on the most immediate thing.”
“Yeah, I mean, obviously we can’t comment on the situation, but Terry was somebody who was very dear to all of us; he’s had a real positive impact on our locker room and staff, and players alike,” he continued. “That includes last year, when he wasn’t in the rotation, oftentimes. So, we send our thoughts and our care for him as he goes through this.”

After dropping their opening game against the Orlando Magic last Wednesday, the Miami Heat bounced back with a 146-114 rout of the Memphis Grizzlies in what was one of their most complete performances in a while.
Miami Heat set records in blowout win over the Memphis Grizzlies
The Miami Heat caught fire in the first half against the Memphis Grizzlies yesterday. By the end of the first half, they already have 86 points and a 39-point lead, which represents the highest scoring half and halftime advantage in franchise history.

“We wanted to win this game,” Bam Adebayo said via Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald. “We felt like we let one go in Orlando, but we said that if we hold them to one shot and run, we’re in good shape. And we did that tonight.”
Adebayo led all scorers with 24 points, five rebounds, four assists, and four three-pointers on 8-for-19 shooting from the field. Nikola Jovic, Kel’el Ware, Jaime Jaquez Jr., Norman Powell, Simone Fontecchio, Andrew Wiggins, and Dru Smith added 20, 19, 17, 15, 14, 10, and 10 points.
