The Miami Heat announced yesterday that Tyler Herro will miss the first few games of the 2025-26 NBA season due to leg surgery, which is a big blow to their lineup, considering he’s one of their most productive players.
After the news dropped, the Miami Heat star sent a stern warning to the rest of the NBA from his hospital bed (via Instagram story).
“Imma tear the league back down once I get off this weak a** bed,” Herro posted.
Herro is coming off his best year in a Miami Heat uniform, having averaged 23.9 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 5.5 assists on 47.2 percent shooting from the field in 77 regular season appearances. The former Kentucky guard also earned his first NBA All-Star selection.

Miami Heat forward Andrew Wiggins has been linked to a potential move to the Los Angeles Lakers via trade. According to ClutchPoints’ Brett Siegel, this is far from the truth, especially following Tyler Herro’s injury news.
“At this time, Miami holds no desire to trade Wiggins before the 2025-26 season, and they are operating under the mindset of evaluating his production and fit before the trade deadline,” Siegel wrote. “The Heat has held a high asking price for Wiggins, one that the Lakers haven’t been willing to meet.”
“His two-way abilities fit Spoelstra’s system perfectly, which is why the Heat continue to remain high on what Wiggins can do for them during the 2025-26 season,” he continued. “Even so, the Heat have fielded calls from rival teams inquiring about Wiggins, who owns a $30.16 million player option for the 2026-27 season.”
