When asked about the situation with the Miami Heat and his star colleague, Jimmy Butler, Tyler Herro appeared unsure. According to ESPN’s Shams Charanai on Monday, the Heat are open to “listening to offers” regarding Butler’s availability. The franchise is reportedly willing to execute a deal for the six-time All-Star, depending on what offer they could get.

On Tuesday, the Heat had their team practice. After the session, Reporters questioned Herro about his opinions on Butler’s future with the squad. However, the 6-foot-4 scorer has yet to learn about the entire thing.

“I didn’t know that,” Herro said.

“I didn’t know that, whatever — I gotta check my phone still this morning. I didn’t know what was said. Vibes felt good in here today, so I don’t know… Great vibes.”

Miami Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra was quick to disregard the comments and narrative about Butler.

“I think the biggest message is the fact that we’re 3-0 right now, this past week,” Spoelstra said. “The player that was rumored in so many trade speculations in the last three years, it seemed like every week. That player is still here and he’s player of the week.”

“It’s been our best, most consistent stretch of the season. So anything else, any other narrative, I don’t care. Nobody should, because most of this stuff has just been all like a bunch of gibberish.”

Erik Spoelstra asked if he tells Heat players anything when trade rumors come up after the latest surrounding Jimmy Butler.

References years of rumors around Tyler Herro and he's still here and won player of the week.

Butler has played 17 games this season, averaging 19.0 points, 5.4 rebounds and 4.8 assists.

Miami Heat star linked to three teams as his trade potential destination

Three teams have emerged as possible trade destinations amid the Miami Heat star’s trade speculations. Butler has been linked to the Dallas Mavericks, Golden State Warriors and Houston Rockets.

The Mavericks are pushing to compete for the NBA title this season. After the 2024 summer when they acquired Klay Thompson via trade, Dallas would prefer having another star like Buter to help them contend.

For the Warriors, the organization wants to have another star next to Stephen Curry. After losing Thompson in the offseason, Golden State is looking for the next star who could play alongside Curry. Although Butler is on the older side, he can still provide value.

Aside from the two Western Conference teams, Butler has been linked to the Rockets for quite some time. One reason is that he provides veteran leadership to Houston’s young core.
