“We Are Not Getting Younger At All”: Michael Jordan & Scottie Pippen’s Former Teammate Bats For Duo’s To Find Peace And Squash Beef

Michael Jordan, retired NBA legend, and Scottie Pippen, another basketball icon, have a long-standing beef that seems to be going on forever. Despite being thick teammates and even thicker friends for several seasons on the court, the two incredible players had a falling out, which started off with Pippen disliking his portrayal in ‘The Last Dance’ documentary.

While fans have been waiting for both players to put aside their differences and get back to being buddies once more, this has never happened. Recently, former NBA player Horace Grant discussed this exact topic on the ‘Gimme the Hot Sauce’ podcast with Stacey King.

“I think it’s going to take putting the egos aside putting the pride aside. Once that happened, that opened the doors up to communication. Two of the best leaders I ever played under. MJ, when he was here, when he was with the Bulls, before he retired, the best leader, and after he retired, Scottie became that undeniable leader. But MJ and Pip put the egos aside and the pride because we’ve done things in Chicago with the Bulls with that team that a lot of other professional team have never accomplished.” Horace Grant said about MJ and Scottie Pippen.

“Two three-peats piece like that? Come on, man. That’s incredible. But I hope and pray and believe me, I talk to Pippen a lot. A lot. And he’s starting to understand that we’re not getting any younger at all. I’m 60. He’s going to be 60 in September. So hopefully they’ll have peace. Got my fingers crossed.” Grant added in the ‘Gimme the Hot Sauce’ podcast.

Michael Jordan faced plenty of hate from Scottie Pippen after ‘The Last Dance’ documentary series which portrayed the Chicago Bulls legacy from the 90s. Pippen openly remarked that he did not like the way he was depicted in the series.

Michael Jordan Hogged The Limelight As Per Scottie Pippen

Michael Jordan was reportedly shown as a major superhero figure in the Chicago Bulls roster, while other players were not given proper appreciation, according to Scottie Pippen. This opinion led Pippen to have a continuing beef with Michael Jordan.

Pippen also later criticized Michael Jordan for not behaving properly with his other teammates. Pippen happened to mention these and many more criticisms of MJ in his memoir which was released in 2021, where he also accused coach Phil Jackson of being racially biased.
