The Milwaukee Bucks have plenty of reasons to be frustrated with how their season ended. They could have won the series if Giannis Antetokounmpo was ready to play against the Indiana Pacers. However, their early exit also pointed out problem areas in their roster that need to be addressed.

One of the wilder suggestions to fix this dilemma is to ship Damian Lillard in exchange for assets, but that won’t completely solve every issue the Bucks have on their roster. Moreover, they still haven’t seen how Dame would work with Giannis in postseason situations.

While the team is looking for ways to mend their roster, one of their players might become embroiled in a legal battle as the police are stepping in during an incident late in the team’s Game 6 loss to the Pacers.

Patrick Beverley to be investigated for incident involving Pacers fan during Milwaukee Bucks’ elimination game

Fans who watched Game 6 between the Bucks and the Pacers will remember the insane moment involving Beverley and a fan who was sitting behind the Bucks bench.

The game was lost at that point, and everyone on the Milwaukee roster were understandably on edge. Beverley, known to be one who wears his heart on his sleeve, got into a heated situation with a fan when he threw the ball at his direction.

The local police reported that they will be investigating the incident involving Beverley and the fan, as reported by the Associated Press:

Police said in a news release the case has been forwarded to detectives, “who are currently investigating this situation and take all accusations seriously.”

Detectives will present the case to the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office at the conclusion of the investigation, the release stated.

Cameras showed Beverley sitting on the bench and tossing a ball into the stands, hitting a fan in the head with about 2 ½ minutes left in the game on May 2. After a different fan threw the ball back to Beverley, who was holding his arm out for it, the Bucks guard fired it back at that spectator.

Beverley might feel frustrated as he didn’t have a particularly bad postseason. As one of the team’s starting guards, he finished the series with 8.2 points, 3.3 rebounds, 5.5 assists, and 1.0 steals a game. If Giannis was present, there’s no doubt that Beverley would have played better.

However, it’s a bad look for him to vent his frustrations towards a fan who was just there to watch the Pacers play. He can only hope that the incident will be resolved peacefully.
