There’s so much skepticism about the Milwaukee Bucks this season but organization remains adamant they can still contend for the title. Their goal was to surround Giannis Antetokounmpo that will complement his playing style. Do they have it? Head coach Doc Rivers thinks so.

He does not just think they have a squad that will help in their title quest. He thinks they can have the best bench once they figure things out.
“We also don’t know what our lineup is yet,” Rivers said.
“We have so many guys that can play. Not only are we not sure — we have our thoughts — on the starting lineup, (but) we’re not sure who the bench is yet. I really believe we could and should have the best bench in the NBA if we do it right.”
The coach’s statement supports what general manager Jon Horst previously said. Nothing is set in stone when it comes to their starting five and the final roster is yet to be determined.

“These guys are all fully aware of what they’re playing for and what the stakes are, and they’re all capable,” Horst said during media day.
“Truly a kind of best-player, best-man-win mentality for the best 15 and three two-ways on our roster.”
Milwaukee Bucks’ roster so far
The Bucks bench from last season played well for a good stretch. They could have had more impact in the playoffs if only Rivers made an earlier decision to change the starters with their substitutes.
The second unit’s great play together with Antetokounmpo might be the reason why they were all brought back. Bobby Portis was signed to a new three-year deal while Gary Trent Jr. was also convinced to return for a bargain. Kevin Porter Jr. was also retained while AJ Green is kept away from trade transactions.

From these four, only two of them are rumored to be in the running for starting spots – KPJ and GTJ.
Shoo-in for the starting five are of course the Greek Freak and new big man Myles Turner. Kyle Kuzma might also be thrown in there.
