Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo recently took to Instagram to refute sensational reports that claimed his wife and kids had permanently relocated to Athens ahead of the 2025-26 NBA season.

Antetokounmpo’s future has been a hot topic in the league, as he was recently linked to a potential move to the New York Knicks by ESPN’s Shams Charania. So, this alleged life change raised several eyebrows, to say the least.
“Stop lying and endangering my family,” Antetokounmpo wrote. “Publicity is a result of my choices, not my children’s. Every child has the right to grow up without public pressure… Do not upload my kids on any platform again, it is enough.”

“Every child needs space to grow, explore themselves and the world without feeling watched or judged,” he added. “As a parent, it is my responsibility to protect their privacy so that they grow up without confidence, dignity, and a sense of security.”
Milwaukee Bucks News: Giannis Antetokounmpo claims he’ll be ready for opening night
Giannis Antetokounmpo missed the start of the Milwaukee Bucks’ training camp due to COVID-19, and the one-time NBA champion recently discussed his fitness level during a recent practice.

“Obviously, I think it took a toll on my body,” Antetokounmpo explained via The Athletic’s Eric Nehm. “I’m not feeling 100 percent yet, physically. Just take it day by day. Get back in shape. I was able to do some 5-on-0. Run up and down a little bit. Tomorrow, a little better. I got 18 days until the first game, so I think I’ll be fine.”
“I know the time to accomplish (it),” he continued. “I think the most important thing is that I’ve got to take care of my body and get back in shape because they’re going too fast for me. I don’t know if it’s because I’m getting old or because I haven’t played basketball for a couple of weeks now.”
