Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo took the rare opportunity to troll Shams Charania when he was asked about his team’s chances of winning the 2026 NBA Celebrity All-Star Game.
During his pregame interview with Richard Jefferson, Antetokounmpo brushed off the former’s comments about his team being stacked, calling Charania the weakest link. While the Milwaukee Bucks forward said it with a smile, it felt like a shot at the veteran ESPN insider.
“You know, why it’s not fair? Because we have Shams on my team. He cannot hoop. But everybody else can hoop,” Antetokounmpo said while munching popcorn.
Antetokounmpo’s assessment proved to be correct, as Charania didn’t do well in the Celebrity All-Star Game. Charania went scoreless, missing all four of his shots from the field, and coughed the ball up four times. Despite this, the Milwaukee Bucks star’s team won 65-58 against Team Anthony.

Milwaukee Bucks News: Kevin Durant doubles down on Giannis Antetokounmpo’s playful complaint on Shams Charania
Houston Rockets star Kevin Durant called out Shams Charania for “disrespecting” the Celebrity All-Star Game, as the ESPN insider was seen checking his phone on the bench while the game was going on.
“My goodness, have some respect @ShamsCharania …during the game??????????” Durant posted on X (formerly known as Twitter).
To add insult to injury, Charania was also trolled by basketball fans on social media after his poor performance under Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo in the match, especially since he named Jannero Pargo as his NBA player comparison recently.
