Kevin Porter Jr. took accountability and vowed to improve, following his careless performance in the Milwaukee Bucks’ 125-104 road loss against the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday night.
After an efficient performance against the Indiana Pacers on Tuesday, Porter had 16 points, eight rebounds, five assists, and two steals, but went 4-for-15 shooting from the field and turned the ball over seven times. He accounted for nearly one-third of the Milwaukee Bucks‘ total turnovers (22), which was a key factor behind the defeat.
“I think I’m moving a little too quick, not being on the same page with my guys,” Porter told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. “But that’s an easy fix. Just pace, and I just gotta slow down a little bit and let my guys get into spots.”
“I’ve been No. 1 on a team before, so I’ve been guarded like this plenty,” he added. “I’m not gonna over-exert or over-worry myself. My team expects better, so I’m (going) to give ’em better. The luxury about it is we play (Dec. 27), and I’ve got another opportunity. Ask me these same questions (after Chicago). I guarantee it’ll be a different answer.”

Milwaukee Bucks News: Giannis Antetokounmpo “likely” to return vs. Chicago Bulls, per insider
Milwaukee Bucks insider Eric Nehm just reported that Giannis Antetokounmpo could return from a right calf strain and suit up against the Chicago Bulls on Saturday evening. Meanwhile, Gary Trent Jr. (calf) is listed day-to-day.
The Greek Freak sustained the injury in the opening minutes of the Milwaukee Bucks’ December 4 match against the Detroit Pistons and has missed the last eight games. With Antetokounmpo in the medical room, the team went 2-6.
Antetokounmpo’s on-court return couldn’t come soon enough for the Milwaukee Bucks, whose next five opponents have .500 or below records (Chicago Bulls, Charlotte Hornets twice, Washington Wizards, and Sacramento Kings).
