The Los Angeles Lakers are in need of a big man with injuries to Christian Wood and Jaxson Hayes. They have a target already but the Milwaukee Bucks might steal him from them.

NBA and Behind The Buck Pass writer Jake Weinbach revealed that the Bucks are joining the race to sign Robert Williams II who had his best years with the Boston Celtics before getting sent to the Portland Trailblazers in a three-team trade that included Jrue Holiday and Boston Celtics.

The Lakers should be expected to pinpoint Robert Williams III as a high-value trade target this season.
Time Lord would provide essential rim protection, front court depth, and much-needed defensive stability with the Lakers reportedly “in search” of another big.

The Bucks have been searching for assets to trade for amid their struggle this season. They are currently 6-9, which is bad for a team with Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard.
They got players to trade who have fallen off in the rotation. Fans promoting to be traded are Bobby Portis Jr. and Pat Connaughton.
Milwaukee Bucks looking for third scorer with Nets’ breakout player
The Bucks are not really high on looking for a big man but what they really need is a scorer in place of Khris Middleton who is still recovering from a sprained left ankle.
This is why reports that the team is targeting Cam Thomas of Brooklyn Nets makes sense.

A November 21 report ranked Bucks as the team with best chance to sign Thomas who leads the Nets in scoring with 24.6 points.
He recently scored 43 points against the Knicks.
Thomas will be a huge lift for the Bucks who is lacking a player who can create his own chances to the basket.
