Anthony Edwards recently gained a fan in Nate Robinson, as the former NBA guard sees a taller version of himself in the Minnesota Timberwolves swingman.

Robinson praised Edwards for his unique blend of skill, swagger, and athleticism, and he even compared the Minnesota Timberwolves star to the second coming of James Harden.
“I think Anthony Edwards is a 6’4″, 6’5″ type of Nate Robinson, built, athletic, backs up his s**t talking,” Robinson said about Edwards via HoopsHype. “I love that. His personality off the court with his shoe deal and commercials. He does a great job being a great showman and presenting himself as one of the best players. He’s funny, he’s got a lot of swag, he’s a cool dude. I love his game.”

“I know he’s going to take the league by storm in the next couple years and showcase what he can do – kind of like James Harden when he left OKC and got the opportunity to be that guy. It’ll be fun to watch what he does,” he concluded.
Minnesota Timberwolves News: Anthony Edwards draws major challenge from veteran teammate
Anthony Edwards ruled himself out of the Defensive Player of the Year conversation this season, but that doesn’t mean that he won’t try his best on that side of the floor this upcoming season. Recently, Minnesota Timberwolves guard Mike Conley challenged Edwards to do just that.

“The consensus is that we’re trying to win a championship. Ant, if you want to win a championship, we expect you to guard like you’re a top-five perimeter defender in the league, which we believe you are. Jaden, myself, whoever’s out on the court, we have a job to do and we got to be consistent every single day, and Ant’s at the front of that, especially on the defensive end,” Conley stated via SI’s Jonathan Harrison.
“With him competing the way he can compete, we’re a completely a different team. He knows it, and it’s going to require a lot more. It’s going to kind of get him uncomfortable a little bit, a little bit more tired, a little bit more in shape,” he added. “But, those are things we’re trying to round out to try to knock down that door.”
