Minnesota Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards’ struggles against the Oklahoma City Thunder’s elite defense continued in Game 5, and head coach Chris Finch did not mince his words about it during the postgame press conference.

“Obviously he’s got to learn to play against that physicality and that type of holding all the time. I think they made it really hard for him. I thought for a lot of the series he did make the right play. We preach that to him all the time,” Finch said about Edwards via Darko Dzeletovic on X (formerly known as Twitter).
“He’s gotta find some easier buckets, I’ve gotta help him do that. I think we were never able to establish something consistent with him and that’s on us as much as anybody,” he added.

Edwards posted 19 points, six rebounds, and two assists on 7-for-18 shooting from the field in the 124-94 Game 5 blowout loss. The Minnesota Timberwolves are officially eliminated from the 2025 NBA playoffs.
