Keyonte George was limited to just four points during Utah Jazz’s embarrassing 55-point loss to the Charlotte Hornets. That was uncharacteristic of him as he has been one of the team’s scoring force.

He made sure to redeem himself after two days as he willed his team to a road victory against the Cleveland Cavaliers. George scored 32 points and dished out 9 assists against their hosts. Lauri Markkanen put up 28 points while Kevin Love, a former Cavalier, added 11.
The 2023 16th pick, who has been a revelation this season, went on to break a record set by former Jazz star Donovan Mitchell who he face off with on Monday. StatMuse noted that George has become the first Utah player to put up 30 point games in double digits in a season since 2022, Spida’s last season with them.

This is huge accomplishment and a great testament to George’s rise with the fact that the season is not yet even halfway.
Spida wants to discuss Utah Jazz, George
Jazz got people talking the other day for the wrong reasons. It is different this time. They got Mitchell’s attention who thinks they bounced back well from the loss.
Mitchell was specifically in awe of George who he said should be in the All-Star Game next month.
“I want to highlight the Jazz. They came in there and outplayed us. It started with Keyonte George who deserves to be an all-star. Young fella that I know personally and I’m excited to see his progress just from last year to this year,” he told reporters.

If ever, George will be the second Jazz to make it to the ASG since the time the franchise they broke up their core of Mitchell and Rudy Gobert and opt for rebuild.
The second turnout of All-Star fan votes has been released and George is not yet in the Top 20.
