Milwaukee Bucks head coach Doc Rivers denied at the start of the season that they are going to copy the formula Indiana Pacers used when they eliminated his team and reach the NBA finals, only to lose to the Oklahoma City Thunder. Them acquiring Myles Turner is not the only reason behind the insinuation.

The comment was made after many critics thought their summer movements and system will make them play faster.
“There’s a difference,” Rivers said.
“There’s copycats. Everybody spent years trying to be Golden State, and nobody was. We’re not going to be (the Pacers). We’re going to be us.”
Fast forward to December, they are now turning to their bitter rivals. Not to copy their system but for inspiration amidst the ongoing struggle they are facing.
Myles Turner gets inspiration from former team

The Bucks’ strong start to season is gone. They are now 10-15 into the season after going 2-8 in their last 10. This has a lot to do with Giannis Antetokounmpo missing games.
The Greek Freak, who was scoring around 33 points in the first 10 games, has been injured twice already. The first one was a groin injury that made him miss two weeks or 5 games. The latest was a non-contact calf injury last week. He’s missed two games since then.
Bucks are not giving up. They think it is still early. Turner knows the situation as he experienced it last year with the Pacers.
“I know it was last year, but my team (in Indiana), we were 10-15 at the beginning of the year and made our way to the finals,” the big man said.

“So, it’s never a question of belief on my end. It’s just the collective buy-in and figuring out what that role clarity means.”
Antetokounmpo is expected to be out for two weeks and Milwaukee are lucky that they had a four-day break since Friday.
