Indiana Pacers fans don’t like Milwaukee Bucks but they probably hate Myles Turner more now after this shocking summer move to join the rivals. Pacers welcomed their center for 10 years on Monday and the biggest question heading to that game was about Turner’s tribute video? Did he receive one?

He did but not without protestation from home fans. Watch the video below:

Pacers fans’ booing was heard loudly in the video to that point that it is louder than the audio of the clip that highlighted the best days and contribution of Turner to the franchise since arriving there in 2015. As a Pacer, he became part of the All Rookie Second Team and the led the league in blocks two times. He also helped them reach the NBA Finals in the 2024-25 season.

The jeers continued during the game. Home fans made sure Turner will hear from them every time he touched the ball. The player did not back down as he also booed them in times he make great plays.

Turner has 7 points and 3 blocks already in five minutes as he’s fully embracing a villain role now with the rival Bucks. https://t.co/14Muzl1c1s pic.twitter.com/ekdJrWYxtu

Myles Turner clears ‘rift’ with fans

Turner irked Pacers fans when he said that he is finally in a place where he is appreciated. Fans did not like it as they believe that they supported him all the way.

The new Bucks center cleared the misunderstanding once again before the game and insisted that the words he used were not aimed towards the fanbase.

He previously suggested that he got lowballed by the front office.

“I feel like, let’s talk about value. Go where you’re valued, in a sense,” Turner said. “I feel like the front office and the ownership valued me in Milwaukee more than the front office and the ownership may have valued me here in Indiana.”

“So, again, that wasn’t a shot at the fans. I see how fans would have taken that personally, just how fresh you were off such a great run and whatnot. But again, I’m going to say this right to the camera. By no means did anything I say have anything to do with the fans or the city. This is strictly a business decision for me, personally.”

Turner finished the game his first game against the Pacers with 9 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 blocks. Bucks and Turner got the last laugh through a Giannis buzzer beater to get away with the win.
