Milwaukee Bucks media day suddenly looked like one for Indiana Pacers after the latter’s former player Myles Turner triggered fans again. He previously earned the condemnation of Pacers nation after he said that he decided to move to the Bucks, their fierce rivals, to remain competitive.

Turner, who signed a four-year $108.9 million deal with Milwaukee, expressed his excitement with a new team. However, Pacers organization caught some strays with the way he described his feelings about the new environment he’s in.
“I’m embracing change— embracing this cool part of my career. I’m heading into my prime,” Turner told reporters.
“I’m in a city now that wants to celebrate me. There’s a great quote that says ‘go where you’re celebrated’. I feel like that’s here. People are excited to have me here.”
The two-time blocks leader left the Pacers on July after 10 years. They were just coming off an NBA finals appearance (lost to OKC Thunder in seven games) but then they won’t have their star Tyrese Haliburton for the rest of the season.

Fans felt betrayed. There were even talks of “power of friendship” Turner himself chimed in as the reason for their playoff run.
Myles Turner irked Indiana Pacers fan base
While Turner’s quote is about his appreciation of the new franchise he’s with, some Pacers fans can’t help but shove to him the way they celebrated him before. Some people brought out receipts.
Had a crowd of 18,000 people chanting your name during playoff games, and then you wanna sit here and say this, man? Smh I guess bro https://t.co/6GYXnpM807

That loud group of fans that were always hard on you won’t magically go away, but the decade of fans who rode for you every step of the way are getting alienated with every quote man https://t.co/bfUC181UNx

I hope the Pacers organization & Fever front office learned a lesson this year:
“Power of Friendship” has its limits.
Start running that franchise like a business before the business runs you (again). https://t.co/M20Gqnyf4u

It’s hard to tell what Turner is specifically referring to. It may probably the new contract he was expecting after the last season but then Pacers owner as well as head coach Rick Carlisle insisted that they were never given the chance to negotiate.
