For many years, NBA 2K has been the go-to basketball video game for sports enthusiasts. When people take a break from their eSports betting site following the conclusion of a big tournament, they like to focus on basketball through some gaming. This video game is ideal as it lets players take control of the best players in the league. NBA 2K25 is the next installment in the series, and it was launched in September 2024.

While browsing through the players, gaming fans will be able to test their skills. However, before you start playing, you might want to prepare for the next session by researching the top players in NBA 2K25. Here are the best ones you should pick.

    The Best NBA2K Player Ratings

    Nikola Jokić

Nikola Jokić is NBA 2k25’s top-rated player with a 98 overall ranking. The player is known for his outstanding skills, being a feared opponent by all those who share the court with him.

Moreover, he was the reigning MVP of last season, as well as the best in several offensive categories. Despite his score for defending being lower at only 66, Nikola Jokić is still a threat. He has a 99 Close Shot Rating, so he will always make shots very close to the basket.

    Luka Dončić

With a 97 ranking, Luka Dončić is just below Jokic. But he shouldn’t be underestimated – he’s one of the best on the offensive, with some actually considering him to be the most consistent and dangerous in this regard.

Not long ago, the player completed his age-24 campaign, and there’s nobody the same age who has had as many First All-NBA selections as him. Moreover, nobody has ever had as many 27-8-8 seasons as he has.

In the game, he is the best for Playmaking, which is rated at 95. He’s the best at Ball Handling, a rating that sits at 98.

    Joel Embiid

Joel Embiid has the same ranking as Jokic, except he is the second-best player. This is because he holds fewer badges than the top player. But don’t let this stop you from picking him.

His best ability in the game is Inside Scoring, which is rated at 93. From last year’s game, his rating increased by two points, and it’s not surprising given his spectacular performance on the court last season.

    Giannis Antetokounmpo

With a 97 rating, Giannis Antetokounmpo is one of the top players in the game. However, many believe that he is actually rated lower than he should be. He’s a top five player, and for someone who is only in his 20s, his results in the NBA have been nothing short of impressive.

The Greek player is rated highly both in the offensive and defensive ratings. He has a 90 Interior Defense rating and an 84 overall defensive rating.

    Shai Gilgeous-Alexander

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander proved just how much players can grow in NBA 2K. While last year his rating was 93, he went all the way to 97, becoming a fan-favorite player.

Last season, he was one of the greatest, and this success translated to NBA 2K25 as well. Outside Scoring is the player’s strongest skill, as it’s rated at 94.

    LeBron James

It’s hard to have an NBA 2K ranking without LeBron James. He has been the most spectacular player of our century, so he’s not going anywhere. He may not be the best player in the game, but he’s certainly one of the top choices.

He’s almost 40 years old, yet his skills remain as impressive as ever. His overall scoring is 96, which has maintained since last year.

    Kevin Durant

For almost two decades, Durant has been one of the best players in the league. This is represented in NBA 2K25 as well, being one of the most selected players. He has an overall rating of 96, while his Mid-Range Shot rating is 97 and his Outside Scoring rating is 95.

    Stephen Curry

Stephen is below Kevin Durant and LeBron James with a 95 rating, but he’s a player who still knows how to show strength and incredible skill in his mid-thirties. He only has a 45 rating for rebounding and 62 for defending, but his Outside Scoring is at 96.

    Jayson Tatum

Rated at 96, Tatum is above Stephen Curry. The player became one of the best recently after winning the 18th championship of the Boston Celtics. His rating has grown from 95 to 95 since last year. The highest-rated skill is his Outside Scoring, which is 92.

    Anthony Edwards

Edwards advanced significantly from last year when he was rated at 88. Now, his rating is 95, joining the top 10 players in the game. He is only 23, so he has a lot of potential to grow and change his NBA 2k25 rating even more. Outside scoring is his best skill with a 92 mark.

Choosing any of these players will make your NBA 2K25 games more exciting. Compare the stats and pick based on your preference and the player’s ratings.
