Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo has been one of the best stars in the league over the past few seasons. However, since he rose to prominence as one of the NBA’s best players, many other sportsmen have emerged who may argue that they belong in the elite. Players like Luka Doncic, Victor Wembanyama and Nikola Jokic are among the new best players across the association.
Even with that, Antetokounmpo has maintained his dominance in the NBA. Fans are seeing that early in the 2025-26 season. As the lone star player for the Bucks, the Greek Freak has made a lot of noise with how dominant he’s been. The 2021 champion is averaging 36.3 points, 14 rebounds and seven assists through the first four games of the year.
It was expected that Antetokounmpo would be the focal point of the Bucks’ system, since they didn’t pursue another All-Star during free agency.

Former player and 2008 champion Kendrick Perkins even declared the Greek star as the most dominant force this season. Perkins took to X (formerly Twitter) about Antetokounmpo having that specific title. The current ESPN analyst acknowledged Wembanyama, who had a great start with the San Antonio Spurs.
But to him, the Bucks forward takes the crown as the most dominant player.
“I know Wemby has put the world on Notice… but Giannis is still the most Dominant Player in the League!!!!” Perk posted.

With his excellent start to the year, it’s hard not to agree with Perkins’ take about Giannis Antetokounmpo. Now, the question is how long he’ll maintain his commanding start to his 13th year in the NBA.
Giannis Antetokounmpo shut down the trade rumors about the Knicks

Before the start of the year, there were rumors that Giannis Antetokounmpo was open to the idea of being traded to the New York Knicks. According to the report, the only team the Bucks star is open to playing for is the Knicks.
On Tuesday, Antetokounmpo led the Bucks to a 121-111 victory over the Knicks. The Greek superstar finished the contest with 37 points, eight rebounds, seven assists and two blocks. Following the game, he was asked about the rumors about him wanting to be traded to the New York franchise.
The two-time MVP was quick to shut down the talk about it and said that he’s focused on playing for Milwaukee.
“Who said that? I’m here representing my team. And that’s it,” Antetokounmpo said. “We beat the Knicks. I didn’t read that article, try to stay away from all the rumors.”
Over the summer, there were rumors that the five-time All-Defensive star would leave the Bucks. Especially after the team’s three straight first-round exits, experts believe that Antetokounmpo is frustrated with the front office. However, there have been no rumors that the standout forward wishes to leave the company.
