The chaos surrounding the LA Clippers has hit a new low, and NBA fans aren’t holding back with the jokes. The team’s decision to cut Chris Paul in the middle of what was supposed to be his farewell tour has pushed some supporters past their breaking point — including Jimmy Reynolds, a 19-year Clippers fan and former ball boy who publicly walked away from the franchise after the move. Even Blake Griffin chimed in, telling the fan, “Go find your peace, king.”
Once the news spread, fans started piling on with digs aimed at the Clippers’ collapse and their longtime followers finally giving up.

One said, “I can’t imagine what it’s like to be a Clippers fan for 19 years man. Saw the Lob City flop, saw multiple blown playoff leads, never saw NBA Finals, saw picks + SGA be traded for Podcast P, and saw your franchise GOAT be cut in the middle of the season. I hope bro finds his peace.”
Another added, “Clippers so bad even their die-hard fans are denouncing them.”
A third wrote, “Bro just activated free agency mode in real life, Clippers era is cooked fr.”
At 6–18, the Clippers are sitting near the bottom of the West, and unless they flip the script soon, more fans may follow Reynolds’ lead.
“CP3 is being scapegoated”: NBA fans push back after Chris Paul’s unexpected exit
Paul’s departure comes in the middle of his final run through the league, a season he hoped to use to elevate the Clippers one more time. Reports indicated he’d been calling out teammates for their lack of effort and challenging the coaching staff about the direction of the team. Instead of embracing his leadership, the Clippers labeled his approach disruptive — ultimately moving on from the future Hall of Famer.

Fans quickly rallied behind Paul, insisting the real issues run deeper within the organization.

One fan wrote, “CP3 is being scapegoated. On the play where he was too slow to recover from the attempted swipe in the paint, he made the effort despite his lack of speed. That’s the whole point from what I see. It’s all about the EFFORT. Harden and Leonard displayed too much false hustle.”
Another added, “Ty Lue is the problem. He was a mediocre player and an even worse coach. Clippers should fire him ASAP.”
A third said, “Man, if you sit and watch these games to end you’ll catch a bunch of laziness. Shout out to CP for trying to hold his team accountable!”
With Paul out, the Clippers lose one of the few voices willing to demand urgency — and with the way things are trending, that absence could make their situation even tougher.
