NBA fans poked fun at Angel Reese’s newly confirmed romantic relationship, particularly when she showed up recently in a game to show support for her new love interest.

Over at X, NBA fans have poked fun at how Chicago Sky star Angel Reese dropped by one of the recent games of the Orlando Magic, where her new boyfriend, Wendell Carter Jr., plays. One fan, however, seemed to have the wrong report on Reese’s dating history.

“She’s had like 5 NBA boyfriends,” one fan said, adding in several laughing emojis.

Another fan was quick to fact-check, however.

“This like the first one,” they said. “The one she was dating was when she was still in college.”

So far, Reese had only one confirmed NBA boyfriend, in the person of Carter. She has been linked and rumored to be dating current and former NBA players, but none of those rumors have panned out and proven to be true.

Meanwhile, Carter himself confirmed this week that he and WNBA star Angel Reese are dating, saying the pair are “locked in” during an appearance on FanDuel TV’s Run It Back. Carter’s casual confirmation ended months of public speculation and prompted a brief, approving response from Reese on social media.

Carter made the revelation when former NBA player Chandler Parsons asked about the rumors, to which he proudly responded with a confirmation.

“Y’all gonna find out when y’all need to find out,” Carter said during the interview. “We’ll just leave it at that. That’s my girl, though. We locked in for sure.”

Rumors of the Carter and Reese romance started earlier in the year after Carter was seen at Reese’s 23rd birthday celebration and later attended events where Reese appeared, including the WNBA All-Star Game, where he was photographed with a shirt referencing her.

Reese herself dropped a series of coy social-media posts that many interpreted as confirmation: a TikTok showing a large bouquet captioned “that’s a sign,” and a later X post that appeared to endorse Carter’s on-air remark with the phrase “Period homie.”

NBA Fans React to Angel Reese at Magic Game: “Power Couple Vibes”

Over at X, fans continued to react to Angel Reese dropping by at a recent Orlando Magic game. For some, they believe they’re witnessing the start of a basketball power couple in the making.

“Power couple vibes,” one fan said. “Angel showing up courtside like it’s nothing.”

Some, on the other hand, still could not come to terms with how the two ended up to be a couple, particularly on the side of Carter.

“That was the last person I thought she’d date,” the fan said. “I’m saying that I didn’t think she’d date a Magic player.”

With the WNBA in its offseason, NBA fans can expect more of Angel Reese in Orlando Magic games.
