NBA fans didn’t let it slide after LeBron James caught an unexpected stray during the Super Bowl LX Halftime Show.
While LeBron was getting ready for the Lakers’ matchup against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Monday, Bad Bunny managed to pull him into the conversation during his halftime performance. At first, it sounded like nothing more than a name drop. Then fans looked closer.
BrickCenter on X pointed out the lyric and translated it.
“Y de Barea, el que fue campeón primero que LeBron translates to And Barea, the one who became champion before LeBron,” BrickCenter posted.
That was enough to set things off.

NBA fans jumped in almost immediately.
@A_Ybarra6 said, “Nobody knows what this fool saying, you trying to diss bron over a lyric you had to translate.”

@d_elite00 added, “Wow, Bad Bunny really knows how to stir the pot! That shade is next level!”
Not everyone thought it was that serious.
@missysinghsongs tried to cool things down, saying, “Y’all get mad at everything. Clearly, it was meant to be a light-hearted joke…another Puerto Rican got a ring before LeBron.”

Jokes or not, the line wasn’t wrong. J.J. Barea did win an NBA championship in 2011 against LeBron and the Miami Heat, before LeBron came back the following year and took care of business.
“Only Denzel can cross half court like it’s his living room”: NBA fans react to LeBron James’ moment with Denzel Washington
Though LeBron James got mocked during the Super Bowl Halftime Show, Denzel Washington was one to show him respect a couple of nights ago.
Ahead of their matchup against the Philadelphia 76ers at Crypto.com Arena, James was greeted by legendary actor, Denzel. What made it more entertaining to watch was the way how Denze got up from his seat and casually walked across the court while everyone’s getting ready for the game.
Washington then hugged LeBron and had a bit of an exchange in pleasantries before walking back to his seat.

NBA fans were simply in awe of the awesomeness that is called Denzel.
@ThatAlienGuy_ said, “Only Denzel can cross half court like it’s his living room.”
@luna_tic_pit joked, “It’s like a lightbulb went off and he said ‘wait, I’m Denzel Washington, I can do whatever I want’ lol.”
And @Pyri_clipz admired the mutual respect, saying, “Denzel walked over there like he was about to give LeBron a side mission in a movie. The respect is deep.”
James felt like a man on a mission in that game as he helped Austin Reaves, who had 35 points to himself, get the W at home. LeBron put up a double-double, 17 points and 10 assists against the 76ers.
