NBA fans blasted Golden State Warriors veteran star Jimmy Butler in light of his recent statement about celebrating his trade from the Miami Heat.

In a post on social media platform X, NBA fans showed their honest opinion on Jimmy Butler’s blockbuster trade to the Warriors, which came with a lot of drama and was one of the highlight stories during the 2024 season.

Jimmy Butler says all the chaos in Miami last season paid off, and he’s glad to finally be part of an organization with no hidden agendas

“All that noise, all that chaos paid off in a major way. I’m lucky to be part of this phenomenal organization. Everywhere starts off great,… pic.twitter.com/bY45S9UQpC

In a recent interview, Butler expressed gratitude in the opportunity to play for the Bay Area team, and threw shade at his former Miami team.

“I’m always the one doing something unbearable all of a sudden,” he said, adding that it’s okay to be labeled the bad guy. “I get to play in this wonderful league, with amazing teammates. But being here, they’ve only got one goal. To keep hanging those things up on the wall. Ain’t no hidden agendas.”

However, some fans did not find Butler’s statement convincing and shut down his claims of wanting to be in a team that has “no hidden agendas.”

“Lmaoooooo like a scorned ex who just can’t stop lying when trying to justify herself to the internet for validation,” the fan said. “Jimmy’s only agenda was to get paid. Period. Miami’s agenda remains the same as always, contending for a title. Even when the odds are stacked against us.”

Jimmy Butler‘s controversial departure from the Miami Heat occurs in the 2024 season after a cascade of public and private conflicts, ruling in Butler’s request to be traded, his suspension, and eventual front office activity, all crossed with chaos in the press.

Tensions escalated following comments and incidents that teammates and executives described as fractious, and the Heat began listening to offers as the relationship between Butler and the organization was widely characterized as irreparable.

NBA Fans Call Jimmy Butler Out: “Maybe Jimmy is The Chaos”

NBA fans did not mince words in calling out Jimmy Butler, and boldly predicted that he would soon talk against the Warriors.

“Got approximately 140 days until he dissing the .500 warriors in interviews,” one fan predicted.

Another recalled previous instances of Butler getting out of the teams he was in.

“Fought his way out of Minnesota after a conference final, then from Miami after reaching the Finals,” the fan said. “Problem is not the teams, it’s you. Give it a few months, and you’ll be trading punches with Draymond instead of passes and ask for a trade again.”

“Maybe Jimmy is the chaos,” someone added.

As the 2025 season opens, NBA fans are excited to see more of star veterans like Butler.
