Paul Pierce took another shot at the New York Knicks, and NBA Fans were not having it.
A clip shared by @TheDunkCentral showed Pierce clowning the franchise, saying the NBA Cup is the only championship the Knicks will ever win. The comment instantly lit up social media, and NBA Fans responded with sharp reminders about Pierce’s own career.

“Paul Pierce is lucky to have won ONE championship thanks to Garnett and Allen coming over to save his sorry ass,” @jbondwagon wrote, echoing a long-running argument that Pierce’s legacy leaned heavily on his Hall of Fame teammates.
That sentiment spread fast. NBA Fans weren’t defending the Knicks’ title drought as much as they were questioning Pierce’s authority to mock anyone. The idea that he speaks from a place of dominance didn’t land.
Another post framed it as obsession. “There is a one sided beef between Paul Pierce and the Knicks. All he does is talk about them and no one in the Knicks organization or fanbase gives an F what he says,” @NYDALYNEWS posted.
For NBA Fans, this reaction isn’t just about trash talk. It’s about credibility. Pierce won one championship, and many fans believe that run was carried by Kevin Garnett’s defense and Ray Allen’s shooting. When Pierce uses rings to dismiss other teams, NBA Fans fire back with context.
The Knicks have struggled for decades. That’s not debated. What bothered NBA Fans was Pierce acting like his resume puts him above criticism. Online, the response flipped the insult around. Instead of laughing at New York, fans laughed at Pierce.
Paul Pierce has never shied away from bold takes. This one only added fuel to a growing pile of backlash, and it didn’t stop with the Knicks.
Steph Praise, LeBron Backlash: NBA Fans Split Again Over Paul Pierce’s Latest Take
While Knicks fans were busy brushing off Paul Pierce, another comment dragged him into a different war. This time, NBA Fans split along familiar lines.

According to @Fullcourtpass, “Paul Pierce believes Steph Curry is best player of era.” That single sentence was enough to ignite old arguments, especially among LeBron supporters.
Paul Pierce believes Steph Curry is best player of era
“How many times has Curry beat Bron in the finals? The man has a unanimous MVP while Bron was in his prime. Nobody is getting a unanimous MVP in the Jordan Era”

“Pierce is a fucking moron.. how could it be Steph’s Era when he had teammates winning Finals MVP vs Bron [laughing emoji],” @LBJgoat_talk replied, going straight at Pierce’s logic. The post accused him of ignoring head-to-head results and leaning on vibes instead of facts.
On the other side, Steph fans welcomed the support. @Martymcflizzle1 tagged Pierce directly. “@paulpierce34 keep cookin that hater and when he brings up KDs ‘finals mvps’ tell him this,” followed by a Ty Lue quote praising how dangerous Curry was even when blitzed in the Finals.
NBA Fans recognized the pattern immediately. Praise Steph, anger LeBron fans. Pierce has played this role before. Each take earns him allies and enemies in equal measure.
What ties this back to the Knicks rant is reputation. NBA Fans don’t see Pierce as a neutral voice. They see someone who provokes reactions and seems comfortable being disliked.

Whether he’s mocking New York or ranking superstars, the result is the same. NBA Fans respond loudly, emotionally, and with receipts. Paul Pierce may enjoy the chaos, but judging by the reactions, his takes continue to age about as well as his goodwill online.
