NBA fans blasted the Golden State Warriors after a video showed fans booing head coach Steve Kerr for subbing out Steph Curry late into the game.

Over at social media platform X, a video showed a part of the recent game between the Warriors and the Portland Trail Blazers, where fans sounded like booing over a sub called out by Kerr that brought Steph Curry out. For NBA fans, the scene is a hilarious moment.

Curry poured in 48 points, including 21 in the fourth quarter, but the Golden State Warriors still fell 136–131 to the Portland Trail Blazers at Moda Center on Sunday, extending a troubling pattern in which Curry’s scoring outbursts have not translated into wins.

Coach Steve Kerr acknowledged responsibility for the team’s struggles, citing poor transition defense, turnovers that led to 24 points for the opponent, and a 5–9 record in clutch situations as areas he must fix to reverse the slide.

“We gotta find a way to connect the game, that’s my job,” Kerr said during the post-game interview. “I’m not doing my job well this year. We have enough talent to be much better. I gotta find a way to help these guys.”

Kerr also said the staff needs to do a better job getting the ball to Jimmy Butler when Curry is off the floor and to tighten rotations and defensive engagement, while players have at times failed to execute otherwise sound game plans.

NBA Fans Blast Steve Kerr After Warriors Loss

Over at X, NBA fans blasted Warriors head coach Steve Kerr and placed the blame on him for their loss to the Portland Trail Blazers. One fgan gave a deep analysis of the situation, and criticized Kerr for failing to make a strategic rotation of the talent he has in the roster.

“His lack of consistency with the lineups is totally disconcerting,” the fan said. “Pat Spencer played a very good game, and then he goes and puts him in the starting lineup without even considering that it would have been better to let him lead the second unit, which is the one that struggles the most in the minutes without Curry.”

Steve Kerr doesn’t have the ability to make in-game adjustments other than to panic and put out four guards and Draymond Green at center. The game started well, with a decent lineup, but he doesn’t give them time to adjust. I imagine in practice he has them playing with three or…

Right now, NBA fans are looking forward to how the Warriors could improve their current standing at the Western Conference, where they sit at #8 with a record of 13-14.
