NBA fans are having mixed reactions to a tweet announcing that the Lakers are on an impressive five-game winning streak. While Lakers fans are incredibly happy with their team, the same cannot be said for others, especially Mavs fans who are still regretting the shocking trade of Luka Doncic and Anthony Davis.

Not just Mavs fans were seen reacting to the news, but fans of other teams also could not help but point out the biggest mistake of a trade, which seems to have cost Dallas the championship already. Meanwhile, LA fans are also having hilarious reactions, especially since the team has been rocking without their legend, LeBron James, who is benched as a result of sciatica.

“THE LAKERS HAVE WON 5 STRAIGHT GAMES.” Legion Hoops tweeted with a picture of Luka Doncic.

“Nico deserves a banner in L.A. alongside the greats lol” one fan said.

“However much you hate Nico Harrison I promise it’s not enough” one Mavericks fan sadly tweeted.

“Yo Dallas you forgot something” another NBA fan called out the Mavs.

“Out of respect for Dallas fans let’s stop posting Luka” one fan commented, clearly feeling sympathetic for Mavs fans.

While the Lakers’ current record is truly astonishing, many fans are still not truly impressed. Some have felt that LA is yet to play a tough team in these last few games, and therefore, the win streak is not a win streak at all.

NBA Fans Feel Lakers Are Winning Because Of LeBron’s Absence

On another note, NBA fans have also been stating that the Lakers are in such good form only because LeBron James is not playing for the team right now. King James is yet to make his entry this season since he is benched as a result of sciatica.

“7-2 without LeBron btw” one fan noted.

“Lakers play better without LeBron (seeing emoji)” another fan echoed.

“Once LeBron come back watch how fast that’s gonna change” yet another fan predicted.

It is still not clear as to when LeBron will come back to the court, but reports state that the legend may return towards the middle of this month. While King James is undoubtedly a superb player, it seems like age is catching up with his pace and intensity.

Lakers fans have been long complaining that the team has given too much importance to James, while ignoring the strengths of other players. From the looks of it, it seems like fans will be hoping that James does not return until the team’s spot in the playoffs is sorted.
