NBA fans are back to debating the LeBron James–Bronny James storyline, this time after former NBA player Charlie Villanueva laughed off Bronny’s All-Star voting results.
When the league finalized starters and potential reserves for the 2026 NBA All-Star Game in Los Angeles, Bronny received just two player votes. For many, it felt like a snapshot of where he currently stands in his second season with the Lakers.
Villanueva didn’t hold back when the topic came up on an episode of his To The Baha podcast.
“Ain’t no way he should be in the NBA… Got two votes… One being LeBron and one being himself,” Villanueva said.
As expected, that clip made the rounds — and fans were split.
Some agreed with the blunt take. @burgerveli16 wrote, “It is . His dad owns the nba . Black privilege mf . U should be happy.”

Others felt the criticism crossed a line. @nvbszer4n pushed back, saying, “This is sad. Grown men clowning a young man.”
Meanwhile, @Key_Supreme appreciated the honesty, adding, “When folks ain’t scared to say the truth, it’s so much better.”
Despite the low number of player votes, Bronny still pulled in 62,600 fan votes. That alone showed that a portion of the fanbase is still willing to ride with him, even if his peers aren’t quite there yet.
“You ain’t even in that conversation yet”: NBA fans pile on a fake Bronny James comments about the NBA All-Star Game
While Villanueva’s comments stirred debate, satire account NBACentel took things in a different direction.
A few days earlier, Centel posted, “Bronny James says he’s not interested in playing in the All-Star Game: ‘It’s not for me.’”

Most fans immediately recognized the post for what it was and jumped in anyway.
@PauluzRFRM replied, “you ain’t even in that conversation yet.”
@SportsGodMedia followed up with, “and neither is the NBA for you either Bronny.”
And @Shady_Justin brought LeBron into it, writing, “Honestly shocked his dad didn’t force his way in.”

Between the jokes, the criticism, and the fan support, Bronny’s name continues to spark conversation — fair or not — every time All-Star season rolls around.
