NBA fans gave their honest reaction to a bold statement that Denver Nuggets guard Bruce Brown made directed at veteran Kevin Durant, in a recent game that turned to a heated altercation.
Over at social media platform X, NBA fans talked about the recent altercation between the Houston Rockets and the Denver Nuggets, particularly between Bruce Brown and Kevin Durant. For one fan, Brown should consider starting a fight, as he should also be able to finish it.
“Don’t start what you can’t finish,” the fan said.

The Rockets, led by Durant, snapped a two-game skid against the Denver Nuggets with a 115–110 victory at Ball Arena on Saturday, narrowing the season series to 2–1 and capping a contest that simmered with carryover tension from their recent game.
Friction had been building after the prior game, when coach Ime Udoka publicly criticized officiating, and Alperen Şengün took a swipe at Nikola Jokić, setting the stage for a heated rematch that saw Denver come out aggressively from the opening tip.
Physical play and trash talk punctuated the night, with Bruce Brown and Tim Hardaway Jr. frequently pressuring Houston players and Brown ultimately confronting former teammate Kevin Durant after a made basket, an exchange that escalated emotions on both benches.
Brown later told reporters he felt certain comments crossed a line and expressed frustration that the situation didn’t lead to a more decisive on‑court resolution, saying he “wished there was fighting” and lamenting the prospect of fines.
“It’s been cool, but I think it’s been cut slow now. After tonight, some words were said that were a little disrespectful. Boy, I can’t wait to see them next time… As a man, there are certain things you don’t say to another man… I wish there was fighting, I wish we didn’t get a fine,” Brown told the media after the game.
Durant, who finished with 31 points, six rebounds and five assists while shooting 8‑for‑14 overall and 5‑for‑6 from three, acknowledged the intensity and said the physicality and words are part of the game, adding that players sometimes push boundaries between the lines.
NBA Fans Imagine Bruce Brown Fighting Kevin Durant
Over at X, NBA fans imagined a scenario where Bruce Brown actually picked a fight with Kevin Durant. For some fans, Bruce might not survive the fight, and this his reason about fines and penalties.

“Yall make millions,” the fan said. “Getting fined a 50k ain’t s***. Dude ain’t really wanna fight or he would have.”

For one fan, Bruce is no match for Durant in terms of size.
“KD 7 foot 240 and Bruce brown is 6’4 200lbs. Bruce you might not get up if you get hit,” the fan said, with crying emojis added.
Right now, with the regular season almost halfway through, NBA fans are looking forward to more franchise development, particularly with the trade deadline coming early next year.
