NBA fans gave their honest reaction to a recent claim that positioned the Chicago Bulls to have found their own version of a player on the same level as that of Tyrese Haliburton.
Over at X, fans reacted to an analytical piece from ESPN that positioned Chicago Bulls young guard Josh Giddey as the team’s Tyrese Haliburton, who just needs his own version of Pascal Siakam to take the franchise to further heights. For NBA fans, the comparison seems to be too wild a take.

“They have Haliburton, who is an All-Star, and they have Siakam,” ESPN’s Jamal Collier said in his piece. “If Giddey can develop into an All-Star and be what Hali was, when do we pull the trigger to get our Siakam?”

For one fan, the Bulls may need more than just their Pascal Siakam.
“They also need Nembhard, Nesmith, Myles Turner, TJ McConnell, Obi Toppin, and most importantly, Rick Carlisle,” the fan said.
For one fan, what the Bulls need right now is something more than simply having their version of a dynamic duo of star players.
“Trying to copy the Pacers’ blueprint is cool, but you don’t stumble into a Haliburton–Siakam duo by luck,” the fan said. “Chicago needs identity first, stars second.”
The Chicago Bulls opened the season with a bold stylistic shift toward a faster, more pass-oriented offense after offseason moves that included trading DeMar DeRozan and sending Alex Caruso to Oklahoma City for Josh Giddey.
Coach Billy Donovan pushed the change early, even staging a player-run minicamp with a 14-second shot clock to instill pace and conditioning, and the approach produced a 6–1 surge that energized the United Center before the team cooled off to 9–10.
Giddey has emerged as the linchpin of the new identity, averaging near triple-double numbers and lifting Chicago’s assist rate and bench scoring, but the team’s defensive shortcomings have undercut consistency.
Veterans like Nikola Vučević have publicly questioned the team’s physicality and sustainability, as Chicago has alternated buzzer-beaters with lopsided losses and surrendered large point totals in the paint during recent stretches.
NBA Fans Give Honest Opinion on Bulls’ Identity Struggle
Over at X, NBA fans shared their thoughts on how the Bulls can take advantage of their young star, Josh Giddey, and how they can find a pair that would work with him.

“In fairness, Josh is already a better fundamental player and has a much higher ceiling than Halihurting,” one fan said. “They need Sabonis and it’s a wrap for the next while Bulls can be very competitive.”

For one fan, Giddey may be considered underrated for one simple reason.
“Josh Giddey is underrated around the NBA because he is a White superstar,” they said.
As the regular season progresses, NBA fans are excited to see more of how Giddey could help lift the Bulls up.
