NBA Fans knew it well that the GOAT argument between LeBron James and Michael Jordan remains a highly sensitive issue up to this day, and they won’t hesitate to throw shade to stars who spoke of them wrongly. This was exactly what happened to NFL star Puka Nacua on Monday, who gave his take on LeBron’s longevity in the NBA.
In the conversation, which quickly gained traction over NBA Fans, Nacua was in awe over James’ still showing no signs of retiring despite age, saying, “Score 40 when you’re a teen, scored 40 when you were 40.”
Puka Nacua on LeBron James:
“Score 40 when you’re a teen, scored 40 when you were 40. The only person to take 3 different franchises to the big dance and get it done for them. Never seen Michael Jordan do that. I never want you to leave. Never retire. They could never do no… pic.twitter.com/hBSg5pCJfh

He also mentioned how the same superstar brought glory to every team he was on throughout his career, something he claimed that Jordan will never replicate.
However, user @MalikFreedom isn’t convinced that James deserves Nacua’s praise, pointing out that his successes wouldn’t exist if it weren’t for his teammates.

The user wrote, “You never saw Michael Jordan on a ‘Super Team’ either. He worked with whatever the organization gave him to work with.”
User @Hcp1Hcp had the same idea, but Jordan, unlike James, was content with his teammates, posting, “He got the leftovers who could run the triangle effectively and led those teams to six championships.”
Meanwhile, user @wheespersnap1 noted that unlike James, Jordan didn’t give up on his team even when things went south, remarking, “MJ didn’t need to hop around to different teams to get championships. That’s why.”
User @Lance91111 didn’t hold back mentioning how James often utilizes dirty plays and antics on the court, writing, “Leflop is the Flop Goat. No one flops like Lebron. Also Lebron is the Travel King!”

Many NBA Fans clearly don’t buy with the statement that James is indeed the King of the NBA. And in all honesty, the arguments will just go on and on as LBJ plays at the final seasons of his career.
NBA Fans support Nacua’s bold take on James
On the other hand, some NBA Fans refused to speak ill of James and instead gave Nacua’s insights on the King an easy thumbs-up.
User @NoLimitsRiq claims Nacua’s statement wasn’t a bluff at all, writing, “Can’t be glaze when all he said were facts.”
User @ConnorEverland also backs Nacua up, posting, “Puka talking like every LeBron fan who has ever existed, and he’s right.”
The James-Jordan GOAT topic indeed remains a volatile conversation for the NBA Fans, and as said, the conversation will continue for generations, as both LBJ and MJ hold accolades that no other player, even the other, will ever achieve.
