This 2024–25 NBA season, the Cleveland Cavaliers are among the top teams. On Monday, they captured their 12th straight win against the Chicago Bulls with a 119-113 victory. Among all the teams in the league, the Cavs are the only ones that haven’t had a loss, maintaining their perfect record.

Coming into the game, All-Star guard Darius Garland earned the Eastern Conference Player of the Week for leading the team to a 4-0 record from Nov. 4 to Nov. 10. Garland averaged 25 points, 7.3 assists and 1.3 steals on 57.6% shooting from beyond the arc.

But Garland wasn’t the team’s leader in their matchup with the Bulls. Donovan Mitchell shot 43.8% from outside the arc to end with 36 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 steals. Mitchell helped the Cavaliers only record eight turnovers compared to Chicago’s 20 during the game, and he didn’t turn the ball over once.

Despite his performance, he credited the bench, which he believes helped them win.

“Grit, determination, fortitude,” Mitchell said. “It took everybody. I think the biggest thing for us was, I gotta give credit to the bench. They came in and really changed the game. You can tell we were a little mentally fatigued. We’re definitely going through it and for them to come in and kind of rejuvenize everything and just play the right way.” (0:10)

Cleveland had 39 bench points, while Chicago had 16.

In their first 11 games, Mitchell has averaged 22.5 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 3.8 rebounds. The Philadelphia 76ers will be the Cleveland Cavaliers’ next opponent on Wednesday. Before returning home for a rematch against the Bulls on Friday, they hope to extend their winning streak while playing away.

Fans of the Cleveland Cavaliers couldn’t help but be amazed by how the team started their season.

“Cavs breaking the warriors 15-16 NBA record,” one fan commented.

    “They are an incredible team”

“Cavs might really not lose this season 👀”

“Cavs are unstoppable.. maybe James wants to go back in the cavs,” another fan commented.

“They have another 4 wins coming in,” one fan predicted the Cavs’ incoming schedule.

“I don’t understand how Cavs are 12-0 with only a single good player on their roster 🤣”
