As LeBron James continues to guide Bronny with the LA Lakers, NBA fans drew comparisons between him, Magic Johnson, and Michael Jordan’s parenting style.
A post from Hoops on X placed LeBron and Bronny side by side with Magic Johnson and his son EJ, as well as Michael Jordan and his son Marcus. The caption read, “LeBron is a great Dad.”
The reactions were mixed.
@jayBamaFan1 asked, “You think raising NEPO BABIES makes you a great dad?”

Others saw it differently. @dicesweetlifee posted, “Magic backs his kid, MJ backs his kid, LeBron hoops with his kid. Three all-time greats being dads in their unique styles.”

For some NBA fans, having a son reach the league isn’t the ultimate parenting metric. For others, the support each Hall of Famer shows — whether it’s embracing identity, offering guidance, or sharing the court — speaks louder than the outcomes.
“Athletes do not keep up with politics”: NBA fans lash out at LeBron James for comments on Israel during All-Star Weekend
The parenting debate wasn’t the only topic tied to LeBron during All-Star Weekend. After the 2026 NBA All-Star Game, he was asked about Israel.
“I hope I inspire people over there not only to be great in sports, but to be better in general in life, hopefully someday I can make it over there,” James said. “I’ve never been over there, but I’ve heard great things.”

That answer triggered another wave of reactions.
@LakersHeatCheck wrote, “This just absolutely shows you how much athletes do not keep up with politics…”
@hesu_krypto added, “LeBron doesn’t know Israelis are racists.”
@SkitzDaBlitz commented, “This answer clearly shows how out of touch LeBron is considering he claims he was very much moved by Malcolm X and Muhammad Ali, BOTH huge advocates for the Freedom Of Palestine!!!”

Between fatherhood comparisons and geopolitical remarks, LeBron once again found himself at the center of conversation. And as always, NBA fans didn’t hold back.
