A wrist injury may sideline Anthony Davis, yet it did little to stop NBA Fans from criticizing him. In fact, the barbs just went more brutal, this time poking fun at Davis’ multiple injuries this season.
On Wednesday, X/Twitter page @NBAMemes didn’t hold back and shared a photo of Davis. Normal at first, until the page meme’d it by layering AD with bubble wraps, highlighting how many NBA Fans had called him “fragile” due to the numerous times he was sidelined by different injuries.
And if the page went in on aiming barbs at Davis, so are the NBA Fans. One user, @toastiwashere, even claimed that no layer will ever stop Davis from getting injured,writing, “Bro is still getting Injured with this on.”

To make things even more brutal, user @DuRty_Crypto remade the photo so that the bubble wrap included Davis’s head, a slight jab that not even that part is spared from the injuries. They alsowrote “fixed” for the meme. NBA Fans like @BookieDrew had thesame idea: “What about the head? Dude injured his eyes and has to wear goggles now. Nothing is safe.”
“A bubble would pop and he would be out for two weeks with concussion like systems!” one userremarked.
“No wonder he won a ‘bubble ring’, [smirk emoji]” one userposted, referring to how Davis won the NBA Title in 2020, which was also called as the “Bubble” due to the lockdowns of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Just give him the Iron Man suit at this point,” one usercommented.
However, despite the NBA Fans clearly throwing shade at Davis, the concerns surrounding the big man’s availability remain undeniable. Since joining the Dallas Mavericks in a massive trade last year, Davis has had injuries to his eye, his calf, and even his abdomen. And now, his wrist, too.

On the other hand, NBA Fans had a hard time believing the drama surrounding Davis’ wrist injury. Just Wednesday, AD quickly dismissed ongoing rumors that he was “undergoing a procedure” that would sideline him for more months, possibly even for the whole season.
However, user @StillxMARI refused to fall for the drama and aimed barbs at Davis being prone to injury, writing, “Injured from typing on his phone.” User @joegrower420 also joked, “Careful you might injure yourself.”

For now, NBA Fans can just hope Davis is set for a quick recovery. But even so, his stay at Dallas remains uncertain, as it’s clear that many Fans feel that he hasn’t felt the vibe with the team.
