NBA Fans didn’t like it when David Aldridge called out to the NBA to remove it’s yearly, highly-anticipated Draft. This Wednesday, Aldridge claimed that the system are merely “corporate welfare,” while teams are just obtaining players without “doing anything to earn [their] talents].”
While NBA Fans online all agree that the Draft and the Lottery does have its flaws right now, Aldridge’s insight was just too far for them. User @shichips believes Aldridge’s words, other than Wednesday’s, make him a fluff even in a game.
Theywrote, “There’s a reason why we always skip yo ass in 2k.”
NBA Fans hating on Aldridge’s NBA 2k self remains pure hilarity that will never be taken out even in the most serious news. But one thing remains: without the Draft, the system will more chaotic than it is today.
“‘I hate small markets and want the nba to die’,” one userwrote, interpreting Aldridge’s words.
“Stop trying to change things that don’t need to be changed,” one userremarked.
“Bro is always yapping even in video games,” one userposted, again referencing Aldridge at NBA 2k.

NBA Fans until now, are still debating about just how messy things were at the Draft, or at least, the process to it. For seasons, struggling teams didn’t need to sign superstars who wouldn’t fit under their salary cap. Instead, they all opted for tanking, or intentionally losing for a chance to gain the No.1 pick in next season’s Draft.
However, it didn’t take long for NBA Fans to realize that the same teams are purposely losing to tank, leading them to call to the NBA to tighten the rules surrounding the Draft. Removing it, however, is completely another topic, and NBA Fans aren’t willing to delve into that.
NBA Fans claim Aldridge’s insights will end certain teams
Adding to the NBA Fans‘ disapproval of Aldridge’s suggestions was the fact that if future NBA players can pick their own teams, it would be the end for some teams. And Fans know what teams those are.
User @PapaRedlegs even listed the possible victims if Aldridge’s wishes do happen. The userwrote, “The Wizards, Pelicans, Hornets and Kings could fold right now and nobody would care.”

After all, no young baller will ever want to join the mentioned teams, which are all lowest at the standings.
Meanwhile, user @ConnorEverlandwrote, “So we just let LA and Miami sign every top 5 prospect every year? Be serious,” claiming strong teams will definitely exploit the potential system.
In the end, NBA Fans would rather have a chaotic, flawed Draft than nothing at all. After all, such chaos will definitely be a massive hit in the league for years.
