NBA fans are coming out in hordes to take LeBron James’ side after the legend recently remarked that he would definitely love to visit Israel someday in the future. However, because of the muddled regional politics, his statements have drawn plenty of criticism, especially from Mehdi Hasan. Fans have been taking sides and starting political debates of their own in the responses after King James made his comments.
“I’ve never been there, but if I have fans over there, then I hope you’ve been following my career. I hope I inspire people over there not only to be great in sport but to be better in general, in life. Hopefully, someday I can make it over there. I’ve heard nothing but great things.” LeBron James said before the All-Star Game.

“In fact, worse than nothing. This past weekend, we heard praise from you for the very same country that has been doing the mass killing and starving in Gaza. “Hopefully someday I can make it over there,” you said, referring to the state of Israel. “Like I said, I’ve never been over there, but I’ve heard nothing but great things.’ Nothing but great things’…about Israel? Seriously?” Mehdi Hasan wrote.
“LeBron is right. Who started this war? Hamas. Who destroyed Gaza? Hamas. LeBron knows what the truth is.” One fan said.

“Shut up…he isn’t going to demonize an entire country due to its government. You currently dislike Trump. Does that mean we should hate you and every other American/America? No…because that is stupid.” Another fan explained.
“Stop trying to dictate the views of successful Black Americans you racist troll.” One more fan called out Mehdi Hasan.
NBA Fans Take Shots At LeBron James After Israel Remarks
At the same time, there are numerous fans who are calling out LeBron James himself for making these recent remarks about Israel. Many are pointing out that James only cares about money and not about what is actually going on in Gaza.

“Expecting moral clarity from LeBron is kind of madness, this the same guy who was partying with Diddy.” One fan trolled.
“LeBron James must be BOYCOTTED. There is no excuse for him. Just another massively disappointing ‘role model’ in America. Total loser,” another fan said.
“Lebron don’t give a …about whats going on outside his play room and whats for dinner.” One more fan echoed.
LeBron James is yet to respond to all these negative comments about his remarks on Israel. James’ comments have undoubtedly led to a division between his fans, with many constantly bring up the regional issues and their own perspectives on the matter.
