NBA fans reacted to Phoenix Suns star Dillon Brooks picking up off-court tension with Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James, following the former’s post-game interview statement.

Over at social media platform X, NBA fans reacted to how Suns’ Dillon Brooks gave out a provocative statement directed at LeBron James, following heated moments Brooks had during their win against the Lakers.

Phoenix handed Los Angeles a 125-108 defeat Monday, ending the Lakers’ seven-game winning run after Suns star Devin Booker left early with a strained right groin. Dillon Brooks filled the void, finishing with 33 points on 15-of-26 shooting in 33 minutes to lead Phoenix’s attack.

Brooks drew attention off the court as well, taunting the Crypto.com Arena crowd and directing celebratory gestures toward LeBron James, including an exaggerated shoulder shrug that stirred the home fans.

“He likes people that bow down,” Brooks said after the game. “I don’t bow down to him. So, that either entices him or it aggravates him – either-or.”

For one fan, Brooks’ beefing with James is like someone picking a fight with an old man.

“Beefing with a 75 year old Bron,” the fan said.

The victory moved Phoenix to 13-9 on the season and marked their seventh win in 11 games, with Brooks now averaging 22.3 points per game for the Suns this year. So far, the tension between the two has remained at that.

NBA Fans Share Reactions to Dillon Brooks’ “Bow Down” Comment

Over at X, NBA fans shared mixed reactions to Dillon Brooks’ comet directed at LeBron James. For some fans, the Suns star had already “bowed down” to James at one point.

“He already admitted he does,” one fan said. “He said the last time he wasn’t confident in a basketball series was against LeBron, and that whole series, he was talking as if he was the LeBron stopper. Shi is all an act.”

For another fan, the recent on-court tension with Brooks proved that the Lakers veteran may be looking at the beginning of the end for his time in the league.

“That game showed Lebron is too old and had to struggle to get to 10 points,” the fan said. “Would the Lakers be better with LeBron or with Dillon Brooks instead?”

Another fan had another take of the beef, with Brooks only leveraging LeBron’s name for attention.

“This guy is reaching but he can never laze king James’ shoes,” the fan said.

Right now, NBA fans are excited to see how the 23rd season of LeBron James in the league would unfold.
