Mark Cuban is back in a more hands-on role with the Dallas Mavericks after Nico Harrison got fired from being their general manager. However, NBA fans are not convinced that he can turn things around for the franchise that’s dealing with a huge downfall since the blockbuster trade of Luka Doncic to the Los Angeles Lakers.
As Cuban tries to clean up after the mess that is called Nico Harrison, Anthony Davis’ future remains in question. However, according to The Athletic’s Joe Vardon, Cuban made it clear in an email that the Mavs have no intention of trading Davis.

“We won’t. We want to try to win,” said Cuban.

Cuban’s words may pack some punch, but fans don’t believe it one bit.
One fan wrote, “Ain’t this the same guy that said he had no idea Luka was getting traded? come on mark.”
Another added, “This is exactly what you would say if you were looking to trade him.”
A third said, “N*gga said he’d keep Luka over his own wife and they still traded his ass, what makes him think they’re gonna keep AD.”
While Davis’ future remains in the balance, the Dallas Mavericks continue to suffer. Their 111-113 loss to the New York Knicks on Wednesday puts them on a 4-12 record in the Western Conference.
“AD got more jerseys than games played”: NBA fans mock Anthony Davis as trade rumor continues
Nothing could be more ruthless than the fans making fun of Anthony Davis’ situation as he’s been rumored to be getting traded, less than a year into his arrival in Dallas.
As reported by ESPN’s Tim MacMahon, Davis is expected to be shopped as the Dallas Mavericks look to rebuild around the No. 1 overall pick, Cooper Flagg.

Fans were ruthless in the comments, with one saying, “AD getting traded again? man got more jerseys than games played at this point.”

Another wrote, “Man, I can’t pretend that I’m not salty or annoyed. Dude has played less than 20 games with the Mavs. We got NOTHING out of the trade.”
A third added, “Nico Harrison…the gift that keeps on giving.”
Back in February, Davis was traded to the Mavs, alongside Max Christie and a 2029 first-round pick, in exchange for Luka Doncic, Maxi Kleber, and Markieff Morris. So far, it’s been the LA Lakers have gotten more out of the trade as Doncic has been proving to be the new face of the Lakers, while Davis remains to be seen on the bench due to his calf injury.
