NBA fans reacted to the viral video of former Warriors star Jordan Poole exchanging handshakes and hugs with Warriors stars, including Steph Curry, with the apparent absence of Draymond Green.

Over at X, NBA fans went back in time and recalled how Draymond Green committed his “crime” when the tension and altercation between him and Jordan Poole ultimately happened, which led to Poole being traded out of the Warriors.

“Draymond Green will pay for his crimes against humanity,” one fan said.

One fan, on the other hand, felt like the dabs and hugs with Poole was supposed to be a Warriors thing, had Green not fought with him.

“Dray f***ed the franchise up real good,” the fan said. “This was supposed to be a Warriors pre-game ritual.”

The tension between Draymond Green and Jordan Poole reached a breaking point during a Golden State Warriors practice in October 2022, when Green punched Poole in the face following a heated exchange.

Green was fined for the incident, but not suspended. This decision by the Warriors sparked fan outrage, with some people calling for a stricter sanction for Green.

Back then, reports alleged that the altercation had to do with Poole nearing a contract extension with the team, and Green facing a point of uncertainty. Stories had it that Poole showed behavior that triggered Green, which escalated to physical contact.

Eventually, Green admitted publicly that the incident affected the Warriors locker room atmosphere and overall team chemistry, something fans also blamed Green for. In later statements, Green had also apologized for the incident and expressed regret in failing to be the senior that he was supposed to be for Poole back then.

NBA Fans Want Jordan Poole Back to Warriors, But Only For One Condition

Over at X, NBA fans expressed their honest dream of wanting Jordan Poole back to the Golden State Warriors. However, fans are aware that such a dream can only happen under only one condition.

“I hope they bring him back when Draymond retires,” one fan said.

On the other hand, one fan had a similar idea that would also bring Poole back to the Warriors.

“Trade Poole for that washed up Draymond,” they said.

“I got a strong feeling we’re gonna get him back after Draymond retires,” another fan said.

So far, NBA fans could be looking at more years for Green, as the Warriors veteran has not shown any indication of retirement plans so far.
